a visit to the pumpkin patch

We drove to "The Farm" a few weeks ago to take in the sights and pick up a few pumpkins. Alden had so much fun petting the animals and playing in the field of pumpkins. He ran from pumpkin to pumpkin trying to find the biggest ones. We have some cute video footage of him laying across a rather large pumpkin, petting it, and saying, "nice... nice." There was also an old tractor that Alden was able to sit on and pretend to drive.

They had the best bakery there! We indulged in giant chocolate chip cookies and a slice of carmel cheesecake with a gingerbread crust... mmmm. We'll definitely be going there again next year.

Alden loves to pick flowers, but he always asks first. The last time he asked me, I said "go ahead" and then continued unloading groceries. When I turned around, Alden showed me the beautiful bouquet that he picked for me. Take a look...
