fun at archie mcphee's

Here's a picture from the photobooth at Archie McPhee's, a crazy little shop in Ballard. Apparently, Patrick and Alden drove all over the city trying to find one of these booths so that they could take a picture for Mother's Day. It seems that this booth is the only one left.

I think after all that driving, Alden was a little tired... it's pretty obvious in the pictures. He is usually a total ham for the camera. Oh well, I still think it's cute.

the cotterells visit us!

Cousins Emma (age 5), and Lydia (age 3) came with their parents, Tanya and James, to visit us for a week. It rained the entire time, but we all had fun anyway. Here we are at Pike's Market. Alden was very unhappy to be sitting on a pig, but he did sit still long enough for one sad picture—click on the image to see it full size and get the detailed view of the pouting lips! We'll be heading to Montana in a month to visit their home and we are looking forward to it.
