turning 2!

We had a great big "farm" party for Alden last Saturday. View the invitation here. Although the day got off to a rough start and Alden was very confused by all of the commotion, it turned out well, and the kids had a great time. Mimi & Papa came down and brought a couple of surprises with them... Alden's Uncle Brian who was visiting from Austin, TX, and a vintage pedal car for the birthday boy.

The car was a huge hit with all of the kids, and even though their legs were to short to reach the pedals, they all enjoyed being pulled in it by the parents. Special thanks to all of you who pulled Alden around while mommy was running around getting the food ready!

We had a big spread of kid favorites... homemade mac & cheese, pb&j finger sandwiches, and veggie bootie. Alden wouldn't eat any of it though because he saw the strawberries, so other than a cupcake, that's all he wanted.



Alden's Great Uncle Fred and Great Aunt Florita came from Suquamish too. It's been over a year since we've seen them, and Alden has made some big changes since then. Great Grandma Mahoney joined us as well. Alden thinks he sees her whenever he spots someone with a walker.
